Clay Interiors was established from the trend and movement in the construction industry to go Green.
Today, architects, designers, building contractors (and home owners) are recognizing the importance of providing a more sustainable product in home and building requirements under LEED qualifications, (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
Leonard Trump, the founder of Clay Interiors, began painting wooden yachts as a teenager in the mid 1960’s, learning the trade under the direction of European boat builders and master painters. After high school graduation in the early 1970’s, Len continued to work for a number of years on private yachts in Maple Bay and Canoe Cove on Vancouver Island and also in Vancouver at Royal Van Yacht Club and the Bayshore Hotel Marina. Attention to detail is a daily event in his personal line of work. Len delivers quality workmanship be it painting or more often now; creating unique hand crafted textured finishes.
He has done ceilings, complete houses; fire places, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, wine cellars, restaurants, coffee shops and concrete walls.
Len has over 18 years painting experience and established his own painting business (after many years in marketing and sales) and began painting homes in the Okanagan with the skill and attention to detail he had learned yeas ago. Having worked with toxic products in both the marine and housing industry, Len now focuses his painting efforts on providing his clients with choices. People like to have options so we are able to consult and provide recommendations for every situation and select from a combination of non-toxic natural Lime and Clay based paints and natural Lime and earthen textured finishes from reputable, international manufactures.
Len is a registered applicator in both Lime and Clay Plasters and continues to up grade his skills in special finishing applications.
